We interviewed Ben so you can get a sense of who he is. Read his answers below, and get to know him!
How long have you been at eimagine? What did you do before that?
It’s my eighth year at eimagine; I started in January of 2008. Before that, I worked at Epic, Integrity Consulting and Time Warner. I went to college at Indiana University Bloomington, and grew up right here in Indianapolis where my family still lives today.
What do you love most about working here?
The co-workers. We’ve got a great team with a fantastic attitude toward work and life. We spend so much time with our co-workers on the job every day, it really means something when employees want to hang out together outside of work. I love the sense of community and belonging we have; we’ve really formed a great culture together.
What’s in store for eimagine next year?
In a word: Growth. We’ve got a solid foundation built, and I think we’ll see some great new additions to our team. I’m really looking forward to this coming year and the opportunities we’ll be able to bring to our employees, clients and partners.
What are you reading right now?
Someone must have warned you I’m an avid reader! Right now, I’m reading Audience: Marketing in the Age of Subscribers, Fans and Followers by Jeff Rohrs. So far it’s been a great read on how to build and engage a long-term audience. Any suggestions on my next book?
What do you do in your free time?
Free time? What’s that? (Laughs) I volunteer on a lot of non-profit and local community boards, so that takes up a lot of my evenings. My wife Jes and I are avid Colts fans, so obviously that’s a big part of what we do this time of year. I also like to work on cars, and I’m finishing up “The Beast”–it’s a 60th Anniversary Jeep Cherokee restoration. I’m 97% done, so let me know if you find a 1st generation Mustang in need of some love…
What type of toothpaste do you use?
(Laughs) Okay, who have you been talking to? I use a French toothpaste called Fluocaril. And yes, you can’t get it here, so I have to import it from overseas. I think it’s got more fluoride than the FDA allows in the US. Which is why it’s awesome. I’m probably breaking some law by importing it. Don’t publish this.
There’s a song stuck in your head. What is it?
Come on now, that’s not fair… Are these questions designed to embarrass me? It’s Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift. You can’t go a day and not hear that song! I hope it’s stuck in your head now!
