For years, Chicago, Silicon Valley, New York, and San Francisco among others have been luring young tech talent away. Indiana has some of the top universities teaching the generations of yesterday, tomorrow, and today yet the fresh college graduates would head out of the Hoosier state quicker than you could blink.
There has been a shift in trends though. Indianapolis has earned the reputation of being the new tech-hub of the Midwest and not only are we keeping our educated tech graduates, we are attracting such talent away from the so-called “tech hot spots” of the US. Employers are looking to live and work in a place that makes economical sense- low cost of living, less traffic, yet still diverse enough to support true collaboration and community.
